Re: BC Rivers Day Music Festival Organization Display

Your organization is invited to participate in the 7th annual BC Rivers Day in Prince George at Fort George Park on Sunday, September 30th from Noon - 5 PM.

BC Rivers Day, where we anticipate 1,000 - 4,000 visitors, is part of province wide events held the last Sunday of every September, offers people the opportunity to get out and experience and celebrate British Columbia's spectacular river heritage. The theme for the 2007 event is "Climate Change - How it affects our BC Rivers."

A display from your organization in Fort George Park will promote your organizations watershed profile and will also educate and raise awareness to the public on the importance of our local rivers.

Community groups interested in setting up a display for the promotion of watershed based activities, recreational, educational and/or show case enhancements projects MUST fill out the attached registration form. If your group has participated in the past please consider refreshing your booth and the contents for the 2007 event. Many of the fans/viewers are repeat and wish to learn more about your organization and the work that is being done toward clean water and the sustainability of the BC watersheds.

Each group is responsible for all their own equipment requirements including display items, table, chairs and tent. Display patrons are also responsible for set up from 9 am-noon and take down from 5-6 pm.

There is no charge for setting up your rivers or clean water display but you must have your own table, tent and chair for your display.

The Prince George Rivers Day Committee is looking forward to confirming your organizations presence at the sixth annual BC Rivers Day Music Festival. Please call Susan Owens at (250) 561-7600x261 or fax her at (250) 561-7519 or contact her via email at sowen@city.pg.bc.ca.
